In the Fall of 2012, thanks to Drew and Deb Christy, Hope Haven collaborated with three amazing Senior teams from the Rose-Hulman's bio-medical engineering department. When first approached, neither party was sure how the other was going to be able to help. After a successful year with the first cycle of students, all involved at Hope Haven knew that this would be a special collaboration. The collaboration continues to not disappoint as three new teams have arrived for cycle two. This collaboration was so amazing that it has changed the way in which Hope Haven teaches, measures, and provides services. Recently named the Rose-Christy Project in honor of the Rose-Hulman students and the Christy family, Hope Haven started this project in an effort to provide an in depth study into the assistance of technology and PATH certified therapeutic riding lessons. Our long term goal in combining the Rose-Hulman technology with our high-quality outside of the box thinking of our staff in therapeutic riding lessons will focus on bringing hard statistical data to the benefits of therapeutic riding and the impact we are making.
